180 DC JMI hosts its First ever Networking Mixer, Taaruf

On 24th April, 180 Degrees Consulting Jamia Millia Islamia proudly organized its first-ever networking mixer, Taaruf, presented by Muzz, at the prestigious M.A. Ansari Auditorium. Designed to foster connections and collaborative opportunities among students , the event was a vibrant celebration of consulting, collaboration, and community. Inspired by the Urdu word Taaruf, meaning "introduction" or "acquaintance," the mixer aimed to reshape perceptions and position Jamia Millia Islamia at the heart of Delhi-NCR’s student consulting ecosystem.

Taaruf brought together over 100 delegates representing major consulting and business clubs from more than 15 colleges across Delhi-NCR. Student leaders gathered under one roof to engage in meaningful conversations, present their initiatives, and explore opportunities for collective growth.

Taaruf unfolded through a series of thoughtfully curated activities, each designed to foster meaningful conversations, teamwork, and idea exchange among participants. The event kicked off with an interactive networking bingo that encouraged attendees to break the ice and build new connections. This was followed by a fast-paced quiz covering business, consulting, and pop culture, keeping the competitive spirit alive. In a refreshing twist, a consultant's latent was held, allowing participants to showcase their hidden talents, bringing a lively and personal touch to the formal proceedings.

The event then took a brief interlude for lunch and then resumed with a quick and informative session on ThinkCell, a powerful PowerPoint extension widely used in consulting. This was followed by a strategic marketing competition, where teams were challenged to create and pitch advertisements for popular matrimonial apps like Muzz, Jeevansathi, and Shaadi.com, blending creativity, humor, and strategic marketing insights into their ads.

The event was graced by Dr Ghulam Yazdani, the officiating DSW and Dr Rahela Farooqi, Director UPC and faculty advisor of 180DC JMI. They welcomed all the delegates and enlightened them with their valuable insights and appreciated 180DC JMI for organising the event.

The positive feedback and enthusiasm from all attendees made it a landmark event for 180DC JMI, setting the stage for future initiatives that will continue to empower, connect, and inspire young leaders. This event has laid a solid foundation for even bigger and bolder experiences in the future, with 180DC JMI committed to driving innovation and creating platforms for students to thrive and collaborate.
